Let’s face it: AI isn’t coming for your job—it’s coming for your busywork. And as a working mom of three toddlers, I’m here for it!

In my role as a Business Development Manager at Page, AI has become less of a buzzword and more of an indispensable robot assistant. Not the kind with flashing lights and existential questions, but the kind that keeps my week moving, my messaging sharp, and my insights pointed. In other words, Hal is more like my pal.

Here are three ways I regularly use AI in my day-to-day:

Made Partially in ChatGPT and partially finished by myself in Canva. Another post for another day!

1. Workflow Automation That Works While I’m Doing More Important Things

I use AI to automate time-consuming admin tasks like summarizing calendar activity, tracking outreach efforts, and even formatting internal reports. Tools like Power Automate and structured prompts help free up my time for what matters most—relationship-building, strategy, and, you know, actual thinking.

2. Messaging That Connects (Not Just Communicates)

From rewriting emails to shaping LinkedIn posts and award nominations, AI helps refine my voice and tone—not replace it. It’s like having a personal communications assistant who knows your tone and doesn’t get offended by beaucoup edits. Whether I’m drafting thought leadership content or simplifying complex proposals, AI helps keep my communication both compelling and clear.

3. Insight-Gathering Without the Rabbit Holes

Client research used to be a deep dive—now it’s a guided swim. I use AI to tailor prompt libraries, extract patterns, and prep for meetings with sharper questions. It’s a smart way to stay a step ahead and serve clients with more relevance and less reactivity.

AI isn’t perfect—but it doesn’t need to be. It just needs to learn with you. The real win is using it with intention and iteration, like any good tool.

Curious how others in marketing and BD are integrating AI into their work? Let’s compare notes.
